When does the Village crew pick up brush and yard waste?
RESIDENTIAL LEAF AND BRUSH PICKUP

THE VILLAGE OF LAKE DELTON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT WILL BE CHIPPING BRUSH AND COLLECTING LEAVES ONCE IN THE SPRING AND AGAIN IN THE FALL.

TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO PICKUP WE PUBLISH A NOTICE IN THE DELLS EVENTS, POST NOTICE ONLINE EVENTS CALENDAR.

RULES FOR LEAF PICKUP:

  • ALL LEAVES ARE TO BE IN PILES LEFT NEXT TO THE STREET.
  • NO NON-COMPOSTING MATERIAL WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • NO PLASTIC BAGS WILL BE PICKED UP.
  • COMPOSTABLE APPROVED PAPER BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED.
  • PAPER BAGS CAN BE OBTAINED LOCALLY.

RULES FOR BRUSH PICKUP:

  • STUMPS AND ROOTS MUST BE REMOVED
  • BRUSH TO BE STACKED NEXT TO STREET
  • BRUSH MUST BE CUT AND STACKED WITH CUT ENDS IN ONE DIRECTION
  • TRIMMING MAY NOT EXCEED 8 INCHES IN DIAMETER
  • WILL NOT PICKUP BRUSH IN BOXES OR BAGS
  • WILL NOT PICKUP TRIMMINGS DONE BY PRIVATE CONTRACTOR
  • WILL NOT PICKUP FROM CLEARING UNDEVELOPED PROPERTY

THEY WILL USE A VACUUM UNIT TO PICKUP THE LEAVES
